1st Quarter Roundup 11/16

Mike Vick Is FORCING His Naysayers To Put Him In The MVP Conversation

So there was a LOT that went on in the sports world this weekend that I fucking LOVED: namely, the Bears beat up on Brett Favre and the Vikings and Michael Vick just obliterated all of his haters and put up almost 100 fantasy points for me in a league. I mean, when you put up almost 100 fantasy points in FOOTBALL?? You've CLEARLY had a once-in-a-lifetime game. The funny thing is, I can see Vick doing this again THIS YEAR: he's developed so much as a passer that I can see him TORCHING defenses with all of the skill weapons that the Eagles have, plus his ability to run. Vick is back on top of the world people...Notice: the PETA offices in Philly haven't made a fuckin SOUND since he took over the reins and started winning.

I just love this shit. Every week Brett Favre loses, it makes me feel better. ESPECIALLY when DABEARS are the ones beating him. People have allowed him to get away with murder every offseason because he's played well on STACKED teams. Well look what happens when ONE WR (Sidney Rice) isn't healthy!! You get Randy Moss and don't throw to him? What. The. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. You. Nonetheless, he's still had a great career and is a Hall of Famer. Just a regular person that's been put on a pedestal and now is buying into his own splendor and regal esteem. Fuck outta here.

Could This Be The Year Of Banner Number Seven??

The Bulls are playing really well also, can't wait to see how the team does when Boozer gets back. They could be really dangerous indeed! The basketball that I'm looking forward to this season is some good ole HALES FRANCISCAN BASKETBALL. We're slowly putting the pieces together but the season will DEFINITELY be fruitful. I'm ready to get this shit on!

What Is WRONG with this guy?

In other news, Charlie Rangel is fucked. Nuff said.

Updates From A Coach

Well, I recently finished my first season as a high school football coach. I must say that the role is BEYOND fulfilling. I get to teach football, LEARN football, apply tips and training to aspiring athletes AND I get to recruit. It's like I'm playing NCAA 10 every weekend. Lol. Here's the rundown of season #1:

~ We finished 5-4 with NINETEEN (19) kids on the Fro-Soph.
~ We have a DAMNED good Freshman QB and a STAR Freshman WR.
~ We may be developing a monster at Nose Tackle.
~ I love the kids and they love me. They fuckin follow me around after school lol.
~ I've lost 25 pounds working out with them this season. It's inspiring.
~ We were REALLY a 7-2 team, but injuries during the last 2 weeks fucked us up.
~ The Catholic League is SCARED now.
~ Other schools have approached me after games about coming to their schools.
~ I'll NEVER leave Hales unless they don't want me there.
~ I realize now why Coach Sanders loves his role at Hales so much.
~ We're going to lift this school back up to prominence. GUARANTEED.
~ THIS SHIT IS FUN. I was put on Earth to work with kids and coach sports.

Here's today's gratuitious sports photo:

Army broke out these DOPE ASS UNIS for their game against VA Military Institute (VMI). That would have my interest as a recruit FOR DAMNED SURE. Lol.

Altogether, I'm just really proud of my experience and the way God shifted me back here so that I could be exposed to this. Coaching and mentoring is EVERYTHING I dreamed it would be and I'm SURE it will get better because I'm not even IN the school building full-time yet. I can't wait. IN VIRUM PERFECTUM. WTF Is Going On??

So, as many of you know, I'm a STAUNCH OPPONENT of the feminist double standard. I'm not an ally for domestic abuse, but I don't believe in a woman acting like a man and not being treated like one (by the law). I'm not an ally of sexual assault, but I don't believe those that lie about it should be able to just walk away. And I DEFINITELY don't believe that a woman should be able to KILL A MAN and avoid jail time. Of course, I'm speaking about the Chris Henry case.

This post will be short and to the point. This woman did an interview for ESPN that will be aired in full on Sunday at 9am EST, and addressed the day in question during which Chris Henry fell out of the bed of the pickup truck she was driving. After watching what's been shown, she has accepted NO RESPONSIBILITY for ANYTHING that happened, and you can definitely attribute that to legal advice. I mean, she may as well say she wasn't the one driving. But considering that I live in the school of common sense, let me prosecute her right quick. The speed limit was 35mph, you were going over 50mph. That's enough for a ticket, and enough for an arrest in the case of a simple accident. Given that Chris Henry is DEAD, I think that should be enough for prosecution via Reckless Homicide at the least. The fact that you would drive that fast with this man back there IN THE OPEN because he didn't want to fund an extravagant wedding and buy a set of $10,000 wedding rings (and because you've blown SO MUCH of his money that he died bordering on being flat broke) leads me to believe that you were fucking with him and being evil. Maybe not TRYING to kill him, but what's done is done; and YES, you have a moral responsibility in it that cannot be denied. Secondly, the ONLY thing she said at this man's funeral is "yall just don't have no idea on how I'm feeling inside right now" and walked away. No tears, no real show of emotion or anything: people that attended the funeral have made EXCESSIVE note of your seeming lack of emotion. Third, this chick has a HISTORY of domestic abuse on HER part, having been arrested for assaulting a boyfriend in 2004, and being removed from the home of another by police during the same year. Fourth, that man's life insurance papers were filed by HER, not his family (considering that she is NOT his wife), and DOES NOT include his family on the initial drafts. Seemed to be done pretty fast too. FIFTH, if there is even a possible way to have 5 reasons to prosecute this broad, a NEIGHBOR that lived 3 doors down HAPPENED to hear him say "if you take off, I'm going to jump and kill myself"...FROM THREE DOORS DOWN??! Her PARENTS, IN the house, didn't hear this but you did. THEN she goes in an interview and says "I don't think he tried to kill himself, he had too much to live for...I think maybe he thought he could land right or that he was afraid of the person behind us because they were calling the police." No compassion, no responsibility, and using the person behind them as a tepid self-defense, when you COULD NOT have POSSIBLY known the woman was calling the police until after the fact (neither could he as the caller SAID to the 911 OPERATOR that he was holding on to the truck and beating the window yelling for her to stop). That shit is VERY SUSPICIOUS and it adds up to something REAL BAD if you ask me. It should be enough in itself to AT LEAST take her to trial, but I guess since she's a woman she MUST HAVE been scared to death. My "suspicion" of this broad's character and intentions is BY FAR the biggest understatement that could be made of my opinion of her. She's guilty as hell of being reckless, if nothing else. Let's see if justice is served evenly.
